Mickey Pot Holder

My first post and it's about my favorite mouse!

I will be going on a Disney cruise in October for my honeymoon. If you have sailed with Disney before, then you probably know what a Fish Extender exchange is. A fish extender hangs outside your stateroom; and other cruisers participating in the exchange deposit gifts in your Fish extender or FE. In return, you deposit gifts into theirs.

This year, adult women will receive a crocheted Mickey pot holder from me.

Mickey Pot Holder

Materials:

I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in black, red, yellow and white.
I hook
Yarn needle

Row 1: Ch 25.
Row 2-9: Dc in the 2nd ch from hook and across. Ch 2. Turn. Change color to red on the 9th row.
Row 10-14: Dc across. Ch 2 at the end. Turn.

To make the white button on the pants:
With white Ch 4
2 Sc in 2nd ch from hook
Sc in next st
3 Sc in the last st. Do not turn. Work in the opposite side of the ch.
Sc in the next st
Sc in the same chain as the first sc. You'll have an oval shape. Leave a tail. And sew in to the red area.

I then stitched yellow around to complete the pot holder.
